TLE's have Meprolight night sights and a different hammer. They technically are called Custom TLE II. I have one I carry every day. Got it in 2002 prior to the S.W.A.T. movie advertisements and premiere. EVERYBODY wanted my gun, then....

Boy did I pick the wrong dept in CO. We're issued the M&P 9. Dead nuts reliable. I haven't been able to make it jam and I've tried purposely. If I have to carry a 9, they issue the best round IMO, Winchester Ranger SXT.
But boy would I love to carry JMB's greatest invention loaded with his second greatest invention.

LOL, sorry. Just finished a week long LE firearms instructors course. You'd think that someone going to that class would know a thing or two about weapons...wrong. Aside from the instuctors, only about 10% of the class was what I'd call "gun folk". I was the only one with a 1911 and the only one shooting 45. Both revovler (45 LC) and semi. By the way, since when did "pistol" become a term only refering to a semi-auto??? I keep hearing stuff like "bring a pistol and a revolver."

Been that way for a while methinks. I think in part due to JMB's naming of the 45 Automatic Colt Pistol round as well as the 380 Automatic Colt Pistol round. But I only stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
