Spanish???

I don't know if it was local or nationwide but I was just watching the Fox network, and at 20:25 CST a National Guard recruitment commercial came on. The writing was in English but THE VOICE WAS IN SPANISH!!!!!!!!!! No English voice whatsoever. I actually wondered if there was a screw up with the SAP thing on my cable but everything else is still in English.

What is the deal with that???? Is the ability to speak English not a requirement in the US Armed Forces??

To my knowledge it is not. Neither is being a US citizen a requirement. You get expedited citizenship if you enlist. While in basic I helped teach someone to speak english, or speak it fluently anyway

You have to read, write, and speak English - although fluently would be an overstatement.

You cannot hold a security clearance as a foreign national, but we do enlist them and expedite their citizenship.
