WTF! House holds moment of silence for MJ
The House of Representatives held a moment of silence Friday morning to mark the passing of legendary singer Michael Jackson.
"His heart couldn't get any bigger, and yesterday, it arrested," said Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. "I come to the floor today on behalf of a generation to thank God for letting all of us live in his generation and in his era."
From cnn.com, they have a video link of it

Yeah, I heard that happened. Sounds like Junior is following in his fathers footsteps for doing "media look at me" shit.

well, maybe not so much on behalf of any young child that was molested by him...
i fucking hate michael jackson. they have a moment of silence for this creep, and ill bet 100,000 truly good people who lived honest hard working lives also died that day and they dont give a fuck. my tax dollars pay for your time assholes, dont waste precious moments on this load that should have been swallowed.

You know, I 'll have to agree with you on that. I have some African-American friends and co-workers that are sick and tired of the slavery issue that members of their own race seem to want to bring up all the time. They tell me that slavery as it pertains to them ended over 150 years ago, the time is now and it is time for people to start making something of themselves and to quit crying over something that happened to their ancestors. "The Man" isn't keeping them down, they themselves are. (fist bump, you feel me )
Mind you I live in a conservative part of CA. It might be different else where.
As fer as human trafficking and white slavery goes, I sure wish we could, but not holding my breath.

You're looking at this all wrong, son. Wrong I say! [/foghorn leghorn]
Instead of a moment they should have dedicated their complete attention to MJ just as the media has done.
Had the House followed that course they wouldn't have had time to vote in favor of Cap and Trade.
Let me know when the autopsy results are in on the Fourth Estate.

Are you fekkin' serious???? You don't know that taking advantage of children is horribly different than two consenting adults having sex? While adultery is obviously frowned upon, it certainly is not as sick as an adult having sexual contact with a child. Or several children....

Freakin' ridiculous. It pisses me off that all these people are coming out and saying what a great guy he was. Sure, his music was good, but as a person, his mama should have let him be a stain.

When was the last time they had a moment of silence for the guys dying in service of their country? Did they even do that on Memorial Day?
Bunch of fools I tell ya.

Are they going to have a moment of silence for Billy Mays? The one who helped us all discover our mute buttons for commercials.

Injuns fought back... You violated the Washington Liberal covenant against self-defense, so no...You should have called 911.

I think your what he was saying, Slaughter. They're chastising someone who had consensual relations, but giving a moment of silence to a pedophile with fame. Kinda backwards, but us commoners are the only ones who seem to realize it.
