JOB LOCATION: Denton, TX--Sheriff Dept.
MINIMUM SALARY: $1,708.231 Bi-weekly

DUTIES: Performs supervisory and general duty law enforcement work for the Sheriff's Department. Work involves supervising, assigning and briefing deputies on daily work assignments and assisting them in handling difficult or unusual situations. Work also involves performing regular patrol deputy duties such as answering com*plaints, investigating disturbances, patrolling, and serving legal papers. Employee is also responsible for completing periodic reports and performing various personnel related functions such as scheduling work, granting time off, and conducting formal performance appraisals. Employee is subject to the usual haz*ards of law enforcement work.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or a general equivalency diploma (GED), and 3 to 5 years of experience in law enforcement work with some experience in a supervisory capacity preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

REQUIREMENTS: Basic certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education as a Peace Officer. Possession of a valid Texas driver's license.
