My sister travels frequently and told me about this site, Kayak.com, she said it is better then Hotwire.com for airline tickets, the site directs you to where to get the tickets, so you are buying directly from the Airline instead of thru them. She said you need to check for prices daily, prices are always varying. She still uses hotwirre to shop around for car rentals, along with other sites.

I was referred to that site a while back. I tend to search all the sites (expedia, cheaptickets.com, travelocity etc) and comparison shop if I can. I have an account with American Airlines and use them alot online and rack up the miles through them to earn points. Kayak is a good site though, I've gotten some great deals using them.
