In order to maintain the integrity of Officer Resource and prevent impersonators from representing themselves as law enforcement officers, we require all members who meet our criteria for LEO verification to private message Reca or Terminator, with the following information within seven days of registering:
-Username
-Real (First and Last) Name
-Title/Rank
-State your agency is located in
-Department Name
-Personal Contact Number (home or cell phone)
-Department Telephone Number (that you can receive messages at)
Our LEO verification process is non-intrusive, but effective. We will ensure that only real, verified law enforcement officers access areas of the site restricted to verified law enforcement officers.
Your honesty and integrity is of the utmost importance during this process. It is crucial that the member undergoing LEO verification be completely honest about their employment status and any questions regarding their employment status. Any member found to be less than completely honest during the verification process will be banned permanently.
At no time will we ever share the information you provide during your verification process with anyone who is not a Site Staff Member, and no information you provide will ever be used against you. We will not share information with your employer regarding your verification.
Any member meeting our verification requirements who fails to submit his information within seven days will be warned by a Site Staff member and permanently banned if he fails to comply.
Any member meeting our verification requirements claiming to be a law enforcement officer who refuses to have his employment verified will be permanently banned.
The purpose of the verification process is to maintain site integrity, not to intrude upon your personal or professional lives. We will not tolerate impersonators.
If you have any questions about verifications or eligibility you may private message a Site Staff member.
Law Enforcement Forums LEO Verification Requirements:
You must be a retired (for service or service related disability) or currently employed and fully sworn full-time/part-time/reserve/auxiliary law enforcement officer with full arrest powers, law enforcement authority in your jurisdiction, and have graduated a law enforcement academy for law enforcement officers. You must be able to or have had the ability to (for retired officers) perform full law enforcement functions, such as; making arrests, serving warrants, enforcing traffic laws, enforcing local ordinances, and enforcing state laws, etc. Members of (non-civilian) military law enforcement (Air Force, Army, USMC, Navy, and Coast Guard) do not meet our verification requirements. If you are not sure you meet these requirements, private message a Site Staff member, and we will advise you.
The following are some, but not all of the reasons for which Officer Resource may remove a Verified LEO tag from a member:
1) A Verified LEO has a change in employment status.
2) A Verified LEO has been charged or indicted (pending adjudication), or convicted of a crime.
3) A Verified LEO whose behavior on the site has demonstrated poor judgment.
4) A Verified LEO who has committed an act of ethical or moral turpitude.
5) Any other reason that is in the best interest of the site.
