Storms hit everywhere around me today. Trees down everywhere, people hitting said trees, the regular BS domestics and such, wrecks, power lines down, power lines starting fires, my yard is a mess with trees and other debris, my power is off, I just finished a 14 hour day, I’ve got a couple of candles, my smartphone, and now I’ve hijacked my MDT. Wife took the kids to her parents place about thirty minutes away. Just me the dog, the cats, and my empty stomach. The only thing that would make this worse would be a visit from the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
This is a scene playing out in many areas as bad storms are pounding communities and spawning tornadoes. Not only is law enforcement out handling all the regular calls but now also dealing with the aftermath of the storms. Piled on them is the concern for caring for their own families.
All of you working in these areas, take care of yourselves and stay safe! 1*
